Customers Reviews & Testimonials

The Old City of Baku is a charming destination to explore at any time of the year, despite its tiny size. The city is home to some stunning architecture and well-preserved historical ruins. Local goods, food, and souvenirs are sold in areas with stalls and small shops. Worth noting is that salespeople won't pressure you to make a purchase. There is a nice variety of eateries and cafes serving very traditional meals and snacks. It's very safe to do so day or night, so take some time to wander through some of the side streets and back alleyways. I've never used a guide, but it might be beneficial to do so to get the full historical context.

Exploring Baku's old city or the neighbourhood of Icherisheher is a must. In addition to a plethora of eateries, gift shops, and cafes, the region features the Shirvanshahs Palace, Maiden Tower, and the mediaeval city walls. The region is immaculately maintained, and all the old structures have been restored to their former splendour. There are also a maze of alleyways in the region, many of which are interesting to explore. This area, like the rest of Baku, is perfectly safe to stroll around in at any time of day. It is undoubtedly worthwhile to stay a while here, both during the day and at night. When night falls, the historical structures are all illuminated, giving the area a fresh and stunning appearance.

Pune

Loved the old-school vibes, the streets, the architecture, and the helpfulness of the locals. There are a lot of souvenir shops, but be careful when haggling because some people will try to trick you by giving you double prices because they know you are tourists and they believe it will be simple to trick us. Other than that, it's a big place to walk from Nouroz Bazar to the Old City Double Gate to Shervanshah Place.
